The Mission To Have Both: A Successful Career And Thriving Personal Life

We’re passionate about our business, but that often takes us away from other aspects of our life that matter too.
After being a marketing leader for over a decade in the corporate, private, public, and non-profit sectors, Tamie had to learn how to trust herself so she could run her business in a way that was aligned with her values.

The Roadblock: Cluttered Software
So, what was causing more friction, more work, and fewer results for Pathfinder Solutions?
Tamie had to manage sales, marketing, and operations with a combination of brain power, spreadsheets, and CRM software that didn’t connect to her email.
This makeshift combination of tools led to unnecessary clutter with her software and processes.
“I don’t like clutter in my head, and I don’t like clutter on my desk or in my software. I don’t want to go back and forth and open different software.”
Trying to organize the tech clutter, Tamie tried a few CRMs and found they didn’t have strong email integration, meaning when she had to contact a client, she wouldn’t have the contextual information she’d need on hand for efficient and effective communication.
“Yes, I went from a spreadsheet to a few other CRMs. Again, they weren’t connected to a more robust email management system.”

Making matters worse, there were times when she would send a support email and not hear back for several days.
“Anytime I think about starting something new as far as software or apps, my brain just wants to blow up because I don’t want to take the time for the learning curve.”

Email plays a major role in how Tamie runs her business.

“I love the video feature on email. It feels more personal after meeting with somebody, maybe in a sales discovery conversation or even with a client, to send a very quick email with a video in it. And then it’s built-in, which means it creates fewer steps for me in sending it. And I can also see the trackability of that too.”

“They will respond to them, whereas other people may not respond to text emails. And I’m talking about not just my clients, but my community, my contact list.”
