How To Verify Your Emails To Reduce Bounces

we're going to talk about email

verification

so email verification is an important

step in reducing bounces from your email

campaigns if you are uploading a list

particularly like a list that is either

a bit unknown like or if it's a list

that you that you know is old and you

are looking to fire things back up with

it

so the concern here is that emails in

your list are no longer good

and therefore when you send your

campaign to it you will incur a bunch of

bounces which will damage your domain's

reputation and make it more likely that

your emails will go to spam

and a verification like it such like

what is built in five Cloud will check

the emails for you ahead of time before

you actually send

this will be like none of your contacts

will know that this is happening really

it's just that our system will be

talking with your recipient email

servers and effectively asking hey if we

send an email to this contact would you

deliver it

now this is just for

users who are at the Enterprise tier

and uh if you do that then you you are

enterprised here then you have 10 000

email verifications per month that are

included

um now you are able to verify emails

with third-party services it's actually

quite affordable uh so if you are a pro

user or a plus user feel free to do this

to either upgrade to Enterprise or you

can go directly to third-party platforms

such as bouncer which is the provider

that we integrate with in our system so

it's quite easy to verify your emails

and we here we are at our contact lists

you verify your contacts buy contact

list

and once your contacts are in here you

can hover over it's off towards the

right

you hit more

you'll see verify emails is at this

point if you're unsure if your

Enterprise or Pro you'll find out it'll

tell you if this is not included in your

subscription

and of course if your questions just

reach out to us

you'll see right here a calendar of

how many uh how many contacts have

already been verified this month

and you have a choice here between

the regular verification which is how

this is uh the default here where just

undeliverable is checked

or you can also check here to filter out

risky contacts as well

now risky contacts are going to be

contacts that the system can't really

completely verify one way or another the

most common being except all

and basically accept all emails will

just it'll just say that yes we'll

accept anything but

um if you send there and this system

that has the accept all emails

doesn't actually have that recipient

there then it'll count as a bounce so

really the decision here is are you okay

with sending to those unknown emails

those except those

and being okay with the fact that you're

going to get some bounces in there

um versus removing those success dollars

which will incur some Friendly Fire you

could say in other words contacts that

would be good will be taken out and

you'll be doing that for the sake of

reducing bounces at all costs

if in doubt I would recommend just

leaving it as is hitting verify and uh

and then you will once you hit verify

it'll take a you know a little while

maybe five to ten minutes and then

eventually get a notification in-app

saying that your list has been verified

and you will see a shield icon next to

your list and you'll see a shield icon

next to any of the contacts that have

been verified

one important thing to keep in mind here

is that

email verification is not infallible you

will still probably get some bounces

especially if it's a lower quality list

especially if it's a a list that you

know is two three five ten years old

a lot of those emails are going to

change and another thing to keep in mind

here too is that business emails are

generally going to age out faster than

uh than personal emails will as well
