the flow we're going to talk about how
you can control email notifications that
you receive when people are opening and
emails so you'll find this in
your send email settings which you can
get to by clicking on first of all up
setup send email settings is where we
and then we've got our Advanced email
settings up here which is what these are
Under And so here's where we can
settings and so you'll see email open
tracking and email open alerts and then
email click tracking and then click
alerts now one thing that's important to
know here is just what the difference is
between these so the tracking is whether
those emails are going to even have that
tracking enabled in the technology to
begin with very few people ever need to
have this turned off so when and doubt
don't just leave both of these enabled
because otherwise you'll lose your
analytics now under email open alerts
this is where we can control when and
how we receive an email to us informing
us that one of our emails has been
opened and you can control here whether
these alerts will pertain to just single
email emails like an individual email
you send to one person versus a mass
email which is more like a newsletter or
campaign and so note that if you have it
uh mass emails turned on you know you
send an email to say a 100 people and 50
of those people open it up that's going
to result in receiving 50 emails in your
inbox so most people don't need to have
this on so in most cases you're going to
be deciding between never in which case
you can just go to your mass email
reports to see your uh open
engagement or single emails which is
like if you send a sales email to one
person then you'll get a notification
happens and then very similar deal here
between our click tracking and click
alerts in this case we're just choosing
whether we will receive a click alert
just that first time they click on a
link versus every time so in other words
if somebody clicks on the link that we
have sent them twice in one day in this
case we're just going to get that
notification that first time they send
it but not the second and in this case
we're going to be informed via email
every single time a link is
clicked and very importantly when you've
made these changes here click on update
Advanced email settings or those save or
those uh settings will not be saved so I
