Task Priorities

hello vipers let's talk about task

priorities

task priorities allow you to rank your

tasks in order of priority helping you

to ensure that the most urgent tasks get

taken care of first

and so you can set the task priority

while you're creating a new task or also

when you're editing one

and so for these purposes right now

since both those work pretty much the

same way let's just simply edit one and

we're going to edit

this task right here to a priority of

one so i'm going to click in here

you're going to see the same

layout whether you're editing a task or

creating a new one

and the priority drop down is right here

at the bottom so right now this task is

set to priority three

and we're gonna set that to one

edit and reload

and now we'll see that this is ranked as

priority one

something else to note here is that if

you're working with task priorities

chances are you'll want to have a task

priority column

on your task page

and you can do that here the same way

you edit any of your columns by clicking

on the columns button

and let's just remove this and re-add it

so i just removed it by hitting the

trash can

reading right here i'm just going to

search for priority

there we go

this has been added and then you can

decide where you want it to appear

on your table right here i'm just gonna

and uh also what you're able to do is

you can sort by priority

as well so i think by default it's gonna

typically sort by due date

but you can also sort by priority and

decide whether you wanted to go up or

down

and there we go

since i left that in that default

position of being all the way to the

right

now this column is right here

and now we can view our tasks by order

of priority and get the most urgent

tasks done first
