Learn how to set up contact scoring and how to view your contacts based on their scores. This will help you to surface your hottest leads so you can maximize your sales efforts.

let's discuss contact scoring
so contact scoring allows you to surface
and rank your most engaged contacts by
attributing points to their engagement
with your emails and with your website
as well
the goal of this is to help you
determine who might be a good prospect
to contact on a one-to-one basis
so this basically allows you to graduate
contacts from your marketing efforts and
then actually
hopefully add them to your sales efforts
as a result
so um
where you want to go for the settings
here
is in this upper right corner
and you can go to setup
and then go to contact scoring right
here under account setup
and so here you will see the various
engagement
that is available to you and the scores
for those for that engagement so you'll
see the contact scoring right here we've
got email opens that are worth one point
email clicks they're worth one point
and then bounces and unsubscribes
basically disqualifies the contact
because
they are showing a very low
amount of interest or just the inability
for you to even contact them in the
first place through email
now you'll note here as well that there
is a website tracker
just so you know that this is a an
enterprise only feature so if you're an
enterprise user this is available to you
if not then you can consider upgrading
if this is something that would be
useful for your marketing and sales
process
and what this does is is you can put a
tracker code
by using the service called iubenda
their tracker code as you can see right
here or the cookies cookie solution
which is what enables tracking is
available at no cost
and they are an excellent
vendor when it comes to ensuring that
things like this remain compliant
because that is important when anything
is involved with tracking
and
we can help you with getting this
tracker code into your website so that
when people click from an email to your
website a cookie is placed in their
browser
and then that allows vip cloud to track
what they're doing on your website and
then therefore those activities can have
points attributed to them with the
default being a single point per page
that they view
and so once you have the scoring all set
up in the way that you
like
then
you can view this by going to contacts
and then my active contacts
so here my active contacts
and this will
show every single contact
that is that has a score associated with
them
based on this particular parameter that
you can set of one day to 90 days
and so this then you'll see right here
there are scores
and
and then you can consider
what that scoring threshold is that you
need
for you to pick up the phone reach out
to them or
begin whatever your sales process is
now what we have just recently added
here as well
is the ability to add a scoring column
outside of just my active contacts so
let's say you have like a newsletter
list or something like that so we're
going to head over to
contact lists let's just go to this
example list right here
and
you know let's say this is your
newsletter list and you would like to
see like who are the contacts that are
engaging the most with this or even like
a a nurturing list that's also another
example where you might want to uh be
able to determine like really who are
those most engaged people who might be
worth contacting on a one-on-one basis
so you go to columns
and then add standard field
and i would just search for score
and here we go we can add 1 to 90 days
so let's say 30 days
and we could even reorder this if you'd
like
and so these particular contacts don't
have any score in the last 30 days but
if they did this is what you would this
is where you would see it
